Tempeh is a fermented grain/legume that is cooked and inoculated with a culture which then grows as a mycelium to bind it in a firm white cake. This makes it easy to cook with and increases health benefits. Tempeh can be used as a “meat alternative” in any recipe and boasts high protein. It is a vegan friendly wholefood and naturally gluten free.
